Yeah well a lot of characters in IDW’s Hasbroverse were bigger douches than they were in other incarnations.

Having seen the new series, it’s safe to say that it’s objectively not bad. Personally I would go so far as to say it’s good. I haven’t experienced a word with as much magic and mystery and compelling and varied characters since I saw FiM for the first time, and even though the show is fairly gay, it never felt preachy about it.
 
It seems to me like most of the “controversy” is that it takes an old franchise and reboots it. And, considering we’re all on a website enjoying the fourth generation of MLP, I think it’s a bit hypocritical to dismiss it for that reason. If you’re not willing to let your darling evolve to a new generation, it’s gonna be stuck stagnating until it’s no longer your darling.
 
And Swift Wind is the best pony. Seriously. It’s worth a watch just to see that horse go.

Oi, Hasbro! What’s the status on that rumored reboot of The Visionaries? Even with only a handful of episodes, that show was the shit. (The IDW comic doesn’t count. Merklyn was never that big a douche)
