Maybe he was reminded specifically of Rascal Flatts’ cover, because it has a different sound/feeling.
Please tell me that by “Rascal Flatts” you meant “Tom Cochrane”.
That’s the only one I know. And I’m too lazy to see if it was done by someone else first.
It makes me so sad that people think of the Rascal Flatts version first these days, rather than the original by Tom Cochrane.
