If a book is full of pictures, you could still read it even if there’s no text.
Here’s some context to help you.
But if there’s no lines of text, there’s nothing to read, per definition.

This is why you don’t just blurt out a joke believing it to be funny. Certain types of jokes, especially these days, would not only be unfunny but outright offensive in the wrong company.
Yes, if nobody is laughing. However, you have to try it on a lot of people to figure that out. You might just be with the wrong people for the joke to work.

Dude, if nobody laughs, it’s not funny. You can claim to know what’s funny all you want, if nobody in a room laughs at your joke it’s obviously not funny.
It is. I’ve been studying comedy my whole life and all the funniest comedians ever are able to tell 100% for certain what’s is and it’nt funny.

But if I think it’s funny, that means it is, because I’m a master expert on all things comedy related. :)
