I’d recommend the Nory Candy Company or Hazer Baba, or a box from each. Get a mixed box; the traditional flavors (mint, bergamot, rosefruit, and mastic) complement each other very well but would be oppressive alone. (Also, don’t try to make like Edmund and eat them all at once; you’ll make yourself sick.)
“Locum” or “lokum” is the Turkish name for Turkish Delight; it means “delight”. Nory Candy Company is Armenian, and refers solely to locum, not Turkish Delight; my guess is that they don’t particularly like the idea of using “Turkish” in a context with positive connotations… Their locum / Turkish Delight is just as good as Hazer Baba’s, though.

The story I’ve heard is that it once contained marijuana/hashish. The traditional recipes don’t contain any, though, and modern ones have nuts but no other solids; I honestly don’t know if this is a rumor or the truth. (I once saw it pointed out that someone living on wartime English rations would very eagerly attack a huge box of sweets…)
I like Turkish Delight.
Trucker’s Delight is an awesome music video
I don’t want to find out, but at the same time I do.
What, precisely, is Trucker’s Delight? Sugar-coated methamphetamines?
