I don’t think anybody liked the notorious holiday special. Even most SW fans, and ones that do only like it for the lulz, or because it introduced Boba Fett.

Alec Guinness hated it a lot more.  
I only found out about Harrison somewhat recently when I said that he never actually watched the holiday special and someone said that they won’t be surprised if he also never watched the actual movies because he don’t like Star Wars

Word is, Obi-Wan’s original actor hated SW, which is why they killed him off. (Yet, he came back briefly as a Force Ghost a few times ironically.)
 
Didn’t know Harrison Ford hated it too. Especially, sense it made his career.

yes I believe that’s exactly what happened. as well Harrison Ford did not actually like Star Wars

The old guy always has to die in SW, that’s the law.
 
That, and/or the actor probably didn’t wanna come back for more movies.
