well actually the who series was ruined from the first place we never got to see spikes origins after season 9 spike was never the 7th element of harmony like they just gave him wings and that was it and ruined him in the finale episode of season 9 I hope someone out there make a whole series for him

Discord doing what he did seemed pretty on-brand to me. Clearly he screwed up, but it was hardly uncharted territory for him, and like it or not, Twilight wouldn’t have realized her friendship “spirit bomb” power without the tree’s help if it weren’t for Discord’s plotting in the premiere.
 
Not liking it doesn’t mean it didn’t make any sense. I’m all for legitimate criticism, but most complaints I’ve seen are just guys working backwards from having their headcanons destroyed.

They put a good chunk of time building him up and were teasing him since season 8 ended. Executing the twist the way they did, destroying Discord’s character in the process, resulted in a lot of warranted anger from people.

By taking all the build up with Gogar and throwing it down the drain while utterly destroying Discord’s character with a twist even Shyamalan wouldn’t greelight.

Twilight officially gets flash sentry as her boyfriend or some other stallion no one would like regardless if they gave the relationship fleshing before the final. Then they make out right before the credits.

Cadance and Twilight adore each other. That’s been made pretty blatant in dozens of episodes. Twilight only didn’t want Shining Armor to marry “Cadance” because she was being a jerk to her and her friends, and cast an evil spell on Shining Armor. After she found out “Cadance” was actually Chrysalis, and found the real Cadance, and the changelings were defeated and everything, she was all for the marriage.
 
Twilight: I get why the queen of the changelings wanted to be with you, but how did you get somepony as amazing as Cadance to marry you!?

Because it makes me think that she hates Cadance because of her anger and drama, if it wasn’t for the fandom drama towards Cadance, Twilight would be happy for her and her brother.
 
If anything she would have expressed things differently while still having doubts instead of going all “YoU cAnT mArRY MuH oNiIcHaN!!!” on changeling Cadance. And then FiWC!Twilight wouldn’t commit incest by marrying her brother instead of being happy for Cadance.
