Description
Name: Yona
Race: Yak
Job: Bishop (BSH)
Sub-Job:
Weapon Type: Polearms
Hometown: Yakyakistan
Residence: Ponyville
Yona is a proud Yak representative of Yakyakistan. She is brash, reckless and will often charge into a fight as her creatures do. Its what she’s been taught as a Bishop. Her honor is based upon showing her bravery and strength. She has enormous power to back up how forward she is.
The young Yak was approached to attend the school since her tribe considered her the most appropriate representative for her creatures since she was the youngest to complete her Bishop training. Her adjustment to Ponyville was difficult since how laidback the growing village is due to her being a Bishop However. She ran into some troubles finding sparring partners outside of classes. Her training is the most paramount thing to her teachings, so simply going through the motions she’s been taught against a training dummy. It was only after becoming close friends with other students did she find fighting partners with Gallus and Smolder.
Her grades are pretty average across the board due mostly in part to them having very little to do with combat or how great Yaks are. Her grades in her defensive courses are naturally high, so they offset her otherwise middling academic performance. She caught the eye of Applejack with her toughness and stubborn streak. After some coaxing, she was able to find a private tutor from Equestria for learning combat in the Earth Pony.
Her weapons are often affixed with charms that can channel specific Magicks both offensive and supportive (but she never has supportive spells equipped). Most of her spells are wasted on warning shots if she cares to give them. Beyond that, they are the perfect instruments to deal out destructive cuts and slashes. Bishop Yaks don’t favor the blunt weapons their race is known for, but they use similar styles and stances. Yona has an unusual spin on her teachings in that she is not afraid to mix in a shoulder check or two to throw opponents off balance. Her rather forward battling style can often come back to haunt her since the young yak has a bit of a clumsy streak. Her circle of friends made while attending school do have to pick up her slack when she trips up, but he raw power she provides makes her worth the risk. This was doubly so when that same circle was the only thing standing between everyone’s magickal prowess and a charismatic megalomaniac.
Yakyakistani Bardiche - A traditional Yak Bishop’s Bardiche. While she upholds her traditions to honor her race, it didn’t stop her from having the magick catalysts that are normally a permanent fixture of the weapon be an easily replaceable part. It allows her to be more flexible with what 2 or 3 Intercessions she can bring.
Yakyakistani Cape - A small cape meant to help keep warm in the beyond frigid climate of Yakyakistan. She wears it out of habit, but can often be seen using it to fan herself during summer months. No one questions it since the last who did had a hole in the wall dedicated to them.

Cute, though.
