Tranquility is a hippocampus (mermaid) pony. She is a natural diplomat and speaks softly but confidently. She is always polite and believes in making sure that everybody gets a chance to speak.

Her cutie mark is one of balance and calm - also denoting the relationship between Tranquility’s magic and the moon.

Tranquility’s magic relates primarily to the manipulation of gravity - giving her the ability to manipulate water and earth to her will. With this power she is able to leave the ocean where most other hippocampus (mermaid) ponies dwell and suspend herself above the ground - enabling her to interact with ponies of the land and sky. Tranquility often magically suspends a ring of water around her midriff when she leaves the ocean - both for her own comfort and for the purposes of magic.

A serene and calming influence on those around her, Tranquility likes to settle difficult situations with discussion, understanding and diplomacy rather than rash action.
