I’m kinda holding out hope that Starlight being trapped in all the magic of Equestria will result in a big story for her next season. Not to mention being caught at the middle of that magical explosion that happened at the end.

At least they got to DO something in both finales. In season 6 they provided support for Starlight which worked for her arc and here they got themselves out of Tartarus which should be considered a step up from their position in the season 6 finale (on top of that, we’ve know that the changelings are capable of overpowering and outnumbering the mane six and others). Starlight literally did nothing in this episode besides become a plot device. Which is a problem because this episode was showing that everyone plays a part in the finale and does something whether it be big or small. Even the background students. Starlight’s literally the only one who got sidelined. I dare even say insultingly sidelined.

I think the whole Mane 7 got the shaft. The Tirek thing was cute, but the other 6 were pretty much in the same position they were in the season 6 finale.

Again, I don’t get this line. Starlight has NEVER casts spells wrong. Twilight knows this first hand, so where is this sudden thought of incompetence come from?
