I know what you're saying, but hear me out... (split up by the beats)

`Rain bow Dash always dresses in style` (empty beat at the end)
`Smol..... der** ** always dresses in style` (empty beat at the end again)

I mean you're spot on, there is one beat fewer on the second version - but it actually doesn't affect the cadence of the line as bad as you think. I think it could be because the single syllable "Smol" takes longer to say (due to the "Sss" sound maybe) so it fills out both beats anyway.

Just a theory. :)
