That does sound like them. Thanks for explaining.
They grew this hybrid fruit near Ponyville and sold its products, but to get the large amount of water for the hybrid, they took it from Ponyville’s main water supply via pipes, making it look like the Apples were using all that water instead.
Except they get thwarted everytime because they always run into the Mane 6.
Quick and easy money, and the locals don’t hassle you once they’ve run you out of town.
Why did they even bother to return in the first place?
