I assumed he read the prequel chapter book, as this comic here recaps the moment where she met the Storm King for the first time.
Yeah, he probably read that as well. But he definitely read the comics because Tempest was not surprised to hear that Glitter Drops is in the Crystal Empire.
I’m aware of that artist, but Silver Quill’s style is closer to the show’s and not as stylized. Dm29 has his own style. But neither are as close to show style as I’ve seen some artists get.
Look up an artist that goes by dm29.
