There are only 22 images of twitaps (including this one) and most are by the same 3 artists. It’s not exactly widespread fanon. Unlike lunapip which has a clear A canon origin, I don’t see the reason behind it in the first place either. But I do have to say it’s kind of a cute pairing.
I get the Apple Bloom part, I’ve seen people ship her with Tender Taps. But I can’t say I’ve seen him shipped with Twilight Sparkle. But then I probably have whatever the tag for inappropriate aged relationships filtered out.

There are some who want to ship Tender Taps with Apple Bloom… but there is another group that sees him ending up with Twilight. Obviously, Bloom would NOT be pleased about that
