She’s not wrong. All in all, Nightmare Moon’s not exactly the most capable of handling all that by herself, not without losing too much of her kingdom with barely anything to replace the losses.
Hell, the changelings succeeded not once but twice in their invasions. Only problem was they couldn’t hold either of those successes for very long.
But the second invasion most certainly would spell the end of Nightmare Moon.

That’s how Silfoe approximates equine dental structure with the show’s art style, since real horses and their relatives usually have a large gap between their front teeth and molars:
The show depicts the ponies with a lot rounder face and more teeth so we can get actual smiles and expressions as opposed to ghastly horse grins, obviously. But Silfoe adds their real-life tooth gap, only very much smaller to fit the smaller, rounder heads.
I hope Twilight stays loyal. And I´m pretty sure the empress can handle those threats. Compared to her sister, she very likely takes problems on directly, and not send other ponies to do her work and fighting^^
