i imagine a pump-action style pen like a rotring would also work, same for alcohol markers, or, to reduce debris if you break your sharpener. Mechanical pencils also works - no need for a sharpener, etc. also I do allow myself to believe electronics that are hard-shielded against all kind of cosmic radiation might be immune to all kind of splatters or debris. Normally.
Else, gotta find another occupation to spend the time in space after golf and drawing.
Pencils work, technically, but they create a lot of loose debris in the process that can get trapped inside electronics and cause numerous safety hazards. This is why NASA developed a pen that can work in space without such a problem.

also the idea of using a pencil in space is definitively a nice touch. Even Thomas Pesquet confirmed only pencils and some markers works in zero gravity.
