In this case, the misspelled name probably stems from Chinese, which makes it even harder to spell it right for artists.
I understand, but still feel upset, though.
i.e., some artist give less of a shit over words than they do the art itself, which I myself appreciate because to be perfectly honest, I don’t really like the English language. X3
I don’t know if you noticed but for a lot of artists in this fandom, English really isn’t their first language. They even post their work first in their native language before making the translation themselves.
And making a mistake with a character name is no big deal. Should Toriyama be criticized for not spelling the name of a character correctly when the characters wear English words on their clothes in Dragon Ball Z?
