Sorry, maybe it's just a cultural thing. In my country, we have too words for hurt. "Es schmerzt". And: "Es tut weh". The first is pain. The last is ... well. A little bit pain. Like a scratch on the knee. So don't be such a ... Spike doesn't look and act like he was in agony. And he was rude before. Punishment is necessary. ;-)
