I fired on in real life kicks a lot less then I thought it would and watch your fingers loading or you get a M1 thumb that is when the receiver tries to read the thumb in to the breach.

But yeah, there’s a reason you want to hold the bolt while loading in a new clip.
If you were already using the weapon, you wouldn’t need to pull back the charging handle after each reload, you’d simply press the bolt release. An action that’s even quicker if you attach a Magpul Battery Assist Device lever, assuming it’s an AR style platform like an SR-25 or even a SCAR-H.
Though I’m guessing you’re comparing it to the M-14?

Ah. But yeah it’s certainly quicker to reload.
BRs today: Eject magazine, insert new magazine, pull bolt to ready the first round
M1 Garand: Hold bolt, push in 8 round clip, let go
Now that is didn’t know, most of my knowledge comes from documentaries and the usually don’t got into to much detail. :P
Plus it still has one advantage over every other existing battle rifle to this day. It’s real quick and easy to reload.
Oh now I gotcha, yeah I love that ping sound. One of the reasons it’s one of my favorite weapons of WW2.
M1 garands make a very distinct ping sound when they eject their clip after the last shot is fired.
It’s in the game, too. After she uses her skill, she makes a ping noise after the shot.
