“Who is more trollish? The troll or the troll who follows him?”
(_)
I was thinking the reverse since you clearly weren’t reading my comments at first and just claimed I was wrong without a care. But now…
Edited
I wasn´t.
And I am starting to think that you are trying to troll me.
Thank you for agreeing with me.
Yes, it does.
None, of that, still disproves what I have been saying.
Once again Iron Will isn´t a villain but can be an antagonist (sometimes), he completely lacks the evil intent.
No, she did not.
He honoured the agreement.
He stole nothing; everything was outlined in the contract.
There is also the fact that everypony (but Twily) had a great time on the cruise.
I was using Nieghsay as an example since you kept claiming that legal reasons were a reason that Iron Will was never evil. If you had cared to read my comment you would know that since I mentioned this example in two different comments.
Next, she did actually mention to him that she needed to be somewhere at a certain time and Iron Will himself actually agreed to let her go when that time came. This was settled during the deal itself. And yet when the time arrived not only did he not keep his word, he clearly shows a more selfish tone toward Twilight’s own lose.
Also don’t forget that the end of the episode where he jumped out of the ship literally yelling “NO REFUNDS!!” as he pratically legally stole all that money he made deceitfully.
@GryphonStar5678
Iron Will is not a selfless angel; this does not make him a villain.
The deal was Twilys idea, Iron Will accepted it and honoured it. And if she she had told him that she would love to see the Northern Stars I´m sure that he would have given her a break during that time.
By the way, everypony else on the ship had a wonderful time.
But Iron Will is not racist so this is not an argument.
And as for the cruise HE put forth that they would be cruel to the citizens while Twilight was trying to find a way out. After this did they finally agree. There was no willingness about the deal.
Legal, illegal. Did you even read what I said? A villain can do everything completely legal and still be a villain. Besides, I never said he was committing any crimes.
Legal reasons isn’t a good thing at all especially in country where it’s perfectly LEGAL for Nieghsay to be as racist as Hitler.
Edited
It was Twilight who offered him a deal, Iron Will just accepted it. The princesses were no hostages.
Iron Will never did anything illegal.
He was never a villain, in the worst case he can be a sympathetic antagonist.
And no, this is not the same thing.
The bully part is debatable. Meanwhile, the cruise was very well played wordplay. He knew Twilight and Cadance wouldn’t be so cruel to their citizens so all he needed to do was present the right incentive to make them stay. Being held hostage doesn’t always mean by force.
Also ‘within the law’ isn’t automatically good at all. Heck, the pure idea that you think this is a good part of the argument shows you have very little knowledge on how villains work. Some of the best villains of all time find perfect ways to stay ‘within the law.’
Gladmane is a good example of this. Using simple very legal spread of rumors to control and turn ponies against each other.
Another one is Chancellor Neighsay who was very much had every ‘legal right’ to be a complete racist and very much a villain.

He pushed Fluttershy into being more assertive, she became a bully by herself.
He also hold nopony hostage; in fact he offered to stop the cruise immediately.
There is nothing wrong with earning money.
With everything Iron Will does he is strictly within the law.
Ha, ha, you clearly didn’t reading the other comments. I answered this already. He puts money first, pushed Fluttershy into nearly being a bully and held two princesses hostage with their fans on a cruise so he could make more money.
I’m not saying he’s a full-on villain, but he is certainly not always on the side of good.
Edited
Agreed. Like I said he’s not a bad guy he just comes off as a jerk most of the time.
He was never evil.
A little bit questionable at worst and even that is debatable.
He’s Discord, duh!
(nod) :-)
Yeah, like a mercenary. I could see Iron Will a lot like that.
Well, it depends. The good is always known with its speech, which should motivate others. But the world is more rational. If I were a good king, I’d still make my mercenaries like Iron Will well paid. I just can’t expect beings to fight for what I believe in.
Yes he’s doesn’t need to be completely evil to have these traits. But at same time you can often find him on the side of evil just as much as the side of good. Whichever side is most useful to him at the time is where you will find him at. Unfornantly for me that means he still has a bit more evil deep down in him than good.
How much more evil really depends on how you look at it. I compare him to the original version of Greed from FMA. Helpful to the side of good until it suits him otherwise.
