Unfortunately my computer can be ‘jumpy’, and not scroll pages properly. So I did get a good look at the sickening thing.
Is that what that was? Honestly, the moment I saw what looked liked a cracked open head appear in my notifications, I deleted it too fast to see where it came from. I did not want to risk getting a good look at it.

Could be. Maybe he extracted more than blood.
Think he overdid it on the blood self-extraction.
Also, that changeling looks healthier than most untransformed changelings, but still terrible.

Based on this article about acidic alien blood, either these changelings had evolved from silicon-based lifeforms within sulfurous-rich volcanoes or that “blood sample” actually came out of an extracted gastric gland from another class of changelings that performs autothysis (“self-sacrifice” via sticky explosion)
