IMO the minis are also pretty crap
The style for the pony doesn’t look too different from the show art, and such to me. Aside from looking more three-dimensional.

Well, granted Flutterhulk is very weird looking to begin with, so I think they did a good job. Funko usually does better figurines then Hasbro.

They can get expensive if you don’t grab them when they are released and they don’t make a lot. The Mara Jade I got was essentially 100 when I got her but now is like 400+. That’s the only concern I have: they don’t make many because it’s MLP and EQG.

It’s that with all due respect, it looks very strange in that way, maybe because I’m more focused on the humanoid figures, but it’s very peculiar.

I actually like that Flutterhulk, but mostly for how hilarious & cute the chubby angry face is. I think they overdid her cleavage though. lol
Their prices are very expensive, but the figures of Kotobukiya are first class, as you say not everyone comes with them, if they have decided to invest in a Hasbro license is that they have done a thorough study and have seen potential in both EQG and some FIM parts.
And you provided one of the best examples of the Mini line: Shimmy
