Love the picture though, ChibiJenHen was always a great Pony/Sonic artist, and she now does work on both series professionally now at IDW, I hear.

Heaven forbid people just enjoy a well-drawn picture. Do we need to add the “drama in the comments” tag?

I don’t know, even with her temper as her only flaw, Sunset still feels kinda bland to me, and the characters honestly don’t seem that much more emotional, or deep then the Pony versions.
 
Still, maybe I should give the newer EqG stuff a shot, might renew my enjoyment of it, but it’s kinda difficult after catching flack from EqG fanboys, and such. Maybe I’ll get over that.

Not really, Forgotten Friendship also pointed out Sunset’s flaws as to why Wallflower wanting to take revenge on her. Sunset has anger management issues, reinforced even more in Rollercoaster of Friendship.  
The characters are way more interesting, developed and feel diverse from their pony conterparts in the ‘Digital Series’

While I admit I should be up to date, I was just refering to what I’ve seen up to that point, and I was mostly refering to the main movies.
 
I’m kinda reluctant to give “Forgotten Friendship” a shot, as it kinda sounds like another woobie-“feel sorry for & love Sunset” flick, like “Rainbow Rocks” was so that actually does sound repetitive to me, but hopefully I’m wrong. I might give it a shot sometime.

Sunset shimmer become empathetic sometime during rainbow rocks remember a lot of time past between the first movie and the second film also sunset wasn’t originally going to be in rainbow rocks so can’t use the they were just trying to sell toys for this one

Well, I kinda agree, it is getting repetitive.  
Every EqG movie or special is basically Twilight and/or Sunset are dealing with some problem, the rest of the Mane 6 offer li’l or no baring on the plot, and just offer exposition, or comedy. A few characters cameo. Some random girl related to the problem changes into a final boss form somehow, they change her back with the power of friendship, or something, evil girl then becomes nice, everybody’s happy, Sunset/Twilight is hailed as the hero, and best character, and their problem is fixed, the end.
 
It’s partly why I stopped watching it. That, and I’m getting a li’l burnt out on Sunset Shimmer, I hate to say it, as I find her very bland, and boring. (No offense to fans of her.) Which is a shame, ‘cause I used to love her, and EqG.

I guess ‘cause she has empathy now all of a sudden, which seems odd as looking back at the first movie, she was a total sociopath originally. You don’t just suddenly become a caring and empathetic person like that. Unless she had a hidden good side deep down.
 
I hate to say it, but I think Hasbro/DHX only redeemed Sunset, and others like Starlight, so they can make toys of them, and li’l girls usually don’t want villains. (And no, I’m one of the fans that is actually very accepting of the show being toy-etic, MLP was always a toy franchise, and that’s not what I have a problem with.) Reforming villains is another thing that’s getting overdone in both MLP:FiM, and EqG.  
Even though I enjoyed some like Discord & Tiara, (Discord at least keeps his personality, and negative traits, while Tiara was just a bratty kid, not totally irrideemable) so I’m not entirely against it, it’s just getting overdone.

You know what? I’m gonna ask a question that’s been on my mind for a while. Why is Sunset’s geode called the geode of empathy? Empathy is the ability to share and understand the feelings or emotions of another person. What Sunset does is called telepathy or mind reading.

edit: im not ranting about the picture, the picture is great (and good job with it) im just upset on how eqg turned out

fucking idiots hasbro had to fit a waifu somewhere in the series of eqg so they decided to base it all on sunset while getting overloaded shipping fuel and fanservice, WITH THAT BEING SAID STILL MAKING THE EQUESTRIA GIRLS CHARACTERS HAVE THE SMALLEST BREASTS EVER. AND hasbro making them have oversized heads (that somehow works) the biggest hips and a torso with the width of being able to cup one hand around it, abnormally long hair, confirming rarijack and overloaded with shipping fuel that kinda RUINED eqg for me, giving sci twi (human twi) the BIGGEST head ever (because of her ponytail,) and giving the humane 6 magic. i honestly dont really like the fact of the humane 6 having magic because it takes away them being humans like they were SUPPOSED to be. the next think you know, the humane 7 will end up growing hooves and a tail actually on there ass. thats why i think eqg is getting out of hand with making EVERY problem in the human world MAGIC related. why not have a problem that NOT magic related? i know thats what the show is meant to be, but still. overall, i think eqg is still kinda ok, but DAMN, eqg will outshine mlp fim just by having weapons of mass destruction end up falling in the hands of highschool girls like some sort of anime.

To be honest, I hate to be “that guy,” but it gets a li’l annoying that some insist Sunset should be the main character, or is.  
I suppose EqG is kinda becoming the “Sunset Shimmer Show,” and many only seem to like EqG for only her, but personally, I kinda wish the other characters would get some love & spotlight too.

Sunset is leader of Mane 7. She should be 1 and Twi should be 2 or 7.
