That last image looks good because it’s actual animation and not just static parts moving back and forth. Someone does it well every once in a while, but other times it just feels gimmicky.

Someone wanted to call it animated so they made a couple of things moove around.  
I guess it’s just the motion, it doesn’t quite look natural to me

I think a big part of it for me is that the movement of the wings just looks really unnatural to me. Like, it looks like they just took two poses, and tried to transition between them, but the transitions just feel way too sudden and quick. There’s no real fluidity or personality to it.
 
I’m not saying he did a bad job with it; it’s still freakin’ adorahble, and obviously enough people liked it for it to be the #64 top scoring picture of all time (which is top 0.004%), but it just doesn’t click for me like other pictures do, including other animations he’s done.

I guess it’s a matter of personal preference, and I wish I could see this image like everyone else is, but the animation and hug sign make this less cute for me. It just feels like it’s trying too hard to be cute.
