The original intention was a Sweetiebot retrofitted with a photon energy engine and super alloy z kaiser armor as an emergency defense measure, but since this image isn’t exactly part of a proper story I don’t see why either interpretation couldn’t be valid.
Uh, hmm… Good question.
Perhaps Mazinger Z Infinity will help renew interest for the younger generation. We need some new, classic-style Super Robot anime now.
Which is a little sad, given that historically speaking the Mazinger Z franchise is easily one of if not the most impactful series of the entire giant mech genre.
Yeah, only people watch Mecha anime would know about Mazinkaiser and even then he’s obscure to the majority, with Real Robots being on the top nowadays.
