I got curious/scared and checked it out and you’ll be relieved to know that it’s not the case (at least according to the Your Business AZCentral website)

I see no problem with that as long as we finally see Scootaloo relatives in the show

“S’Mores” is almost certainly trademarked by some company.
More importantly, Steven Universe is a cartoon first before it’s a toy ad, so as long as ratings are good, SU can afford not to cater to oversea regions in a way a merchandise driven show like MLP just cannot.

Well, they once drew a pineapple tree in the early comics, maybe these are Equestrian prickly pears that are actual pearsXD

Prickly pears are called that because the tuna of all the common species have the texture of a ripe pear, so they can be used for anything you’d use a pear for. I dunno where you’re getting chayote from, they literally say “prickly pear” in the third panel; it seems most likely that it looks like a pear here because Agnes Garbowska has never seen a field of nopal cactus and thought “prickly” was just a cartoon variety of pear.
Prickly pears/tunas have a different flavor according to its species, however, they are too “mushy” and “watery” to be used as desserts. Also, they are filled with seeds that give you a severe constipation.
Also, those aren’t tunas, those are clearly chayotes, or as Aussies call them chokos

Yeah, it is written for an older audience. Which is why it annoys the hell out of me whenever people tell Jim Miller that this show should be TV-PG like Steven Universe or Adventure Time.

I highly suspect that IDW got guidance on their designs from DHX (or at least Vogel and Dubuc) though (like the Pillars), and I think they’ll end up in the show before the end.
