Also, maybe you could just ask Shinodage to give you a version of the animation with a transparent background. Creators in this fandom are sometimes agreeable to this sort of stuff.
If you’re using ffmpeg to convert the video to GIF, I recommend that you read up on this blog post here on how to generate a custom palette for the GIF. Alternative, you could also convert and upload it in the WebM format.
My video editing software cant create transparent backgrounds so I just had to make it green. :/ sorry
