Did you know that shorts are sometimes really short, but also sometimes really long; And some have pockets but others don’t; and some are made of cotton while others polyester–But they’re all still called shorts? It’s almost as if clothing types aren’t restricted to one kind of shape or form. Imagine that.
 
Bikinis, like anything else, are a fashion item. And as such, VARY DRAMATICALLY. I think you’ll find with a casual google search that absolute cleavage, as well as countless other design choices, are all popular and viable styles for a bikini. Consider yourself aware now.
