yes, that’s what they’ve done every time, without question, and it’s led them to go cheer up some villagers living out in the middle of nowhere, travel to distant lands to teach a gryphon to bake scones, renovate an old theater stage in manehattan, expose a conman running a casino replacing him with two conmen, stop some hicks from throwing pumpkins at other hicks, do absolutely nothing in canterlot because the press assures you that absolutely nothing happened whatsoever on that day… can you see why an employer might start doubting whether the map is all that important?
 
and what do you mean you don’t delay it? most of that stuff could’ve been delayed for weeks, if not months!

If the map was more sentient and could see the future, I still doubt it would consult Rainbow Dash’s employers. When the map calls, you don’t delay it. Rainbow Dash is one of the country’s heroes so those take more priority than her job.
