I don’t think people started saying “mane” instead of “main” because the main characters have manes, I think it was just that the show is about ponies, and ponies have manes.
Spike doesn’t have a mane.
Nope. As far as the show is concerned now, Mane 7 is with Starlight.
The word Mane leaves Spike out in the cold.
“Mane Seven” implies Spike, not Starlight, in Derpibooru’s tagging system (and in the show.) People don’t seem to realize that, so Spike’s name shows up. I removed both.
