I imagine like villain main Evil Twilight kept watch over and Team Twilight’s exploits, eventually learning all about Them … as well as all possible outcomes of their herself defeat and how it would end.
Define competent, she was a mad scientist that almost destroy everything for knowledge, which probably won’t give her the answers she want to find.
Must admit Chrysalis-made Evil-Twilight is by far my favorite canon evil version of Twilight.
