Description
Notes on the design/character:
-Galaxy Guard started out as “Dawn Twinkle”, a Twilight NG who was based on G3 Twilight Twinkle. She was a Mary Sue alicorn who often wore a cloak to hide her wings because “she wanted to be normal”.
-I changed her name and design later because I didn’t want to feel like I was copying the franchise’s characters instead of making my own.
-Dawn Twinkle was designed to be father-ambiguous because I wanted to avoid shipping and the conflicts that came with it. Once I started over with her design, I made her a FlashLight foal because it was the most popular option available.
-The orange alicorn was named “Sentinel Shield”, but I was asked to change it to “avoid confusion” with someone else’s OC.
-After a friend opened my eyes to how pony designs should really work (starting with Paint Swirl), I changed Galaxy to a pink pegasus.
-Galaxy used to be an extremely dull character with a boring backstory until I decided to kill Flash. However, she didn’t start being a major bitch about it until I made CheeriTwi canon, and until I gave Turquoise Edge a bigger role in the story.

That’s how I feel too. So what if someone else has an OC that is the same name as yours? So long as the two characters aren’t exactly the same, it really shouldn’t be a big deal. After all, lot’s of real world people have the first name and some of the canon characters even have the same name (we have two canon Cloudchasers for example).
