Still not as scary as George Romero movies.
In Doom you are a roided up psycho that kills anything that move, or look likely to start moving. And the comic captures that perfectly. It doesn’t waste time trying to establish a story, or motivations or background. It immediately cleaves to the Essence of Doom.
Finding guns.
Finding demons.
Killing the demons you found with the guns you found.
That the comic is batshit insane is just icing on the cake.
I think my favorite was “ah, chainsaw! The great communicator!”
“An important looking door…”

“Dynamite!”
Indeed. The comic that had almost every single line go memetic.
There was only one issue of it. Look it up on Google images, it’s glorious.
Oh, I’m more than familiar with Doom as a video game series. Never seen the comic however unless I’ve forgotten considering how long ago that was.
Ever heard of a video game called DOOM before? It first came out in 1993, but had a remake in 2016. It had a comic book based off it back in the 90s, that created many memes such as “rip and tear!”
Suppose not.
Do you not get the reference?
