Leader of the G4 purists

These roles really don’t apply to the characters as they are now. Flash being smooth and confident has severaly dwindled as he’s had to deal with going from a big interest to women, to being ignored. Reliant on relationships, he’s become a bit of a beta now. Meanwhile Spike can take control of any situation he is given and adapt to it. He has evolved and grown both mentally and physically. He’s a total alpha.

Of course, both characters were at one point rather widely disliked.

But, obviously, this is the reason why Flash was incredibly disliked, and Spike, not so much.

Because Flash is unsympathetic as a “perfect teen” and Spike is sympathetic as someone with room to grow, with flaws and difficulties.
