With the police cruiser having stopped at the start of the pier and the police officers Misty Fly and Cloud Chaser stepping out and chasing them on foot, Applejack and Fluttershy kept escaping along the wooden planks of the structure. They zoomed along the just married couple and their own mermaid friend, they faced two options: 1) Slow down and get down of the moped scooter, carefully like civilized beings, helping Fluttershy along and awkwardly shift and drag themselves to the water, risking getting caught and unevitably transforming the police officers in the process. OR 2) Pull a JackAss and crash the scooter in the shallow waters of the Caribbean Sea, and escaping and saving the poor officers a life of sleeping with the fishes, and of course, avoiding jail time if Pinkie could clarify the situation. They chose the latter. Meanwhile, their public was already reacting to the situation:

Ron: They are crazy!
Kim: They are mermaids!
Pinkie: They will crash my scooter!

Kim and Ron: …
Pinkie: …

Kim: A pink freak!
Ron: A Zeltron!
Pinkie: I… really could use a Memory Erasing stone right now, or a Neuralizer.

This seems to be the one entry in this series no one particularly likes. Did they think it added nothing to the series or did they find the crossover element superfluous? Too large an image with the most panels, three as opposed to the two at most the others have? Looking away from the action and seeing the reactions of bystanders? Lack of background events to add to the reality of the world?

This tale is largely viewer feedback and made up as it went along so long as nothing outright contradicts prior entries, not unlike FiM. There wasn’t even a plot in its pilot which wasn’t drawn with the thought of pilot in mind. The appeal of mermaids in regular human attire itself was the draw to begin with. Expecting too much of it is completely unreasonable.
