AJ and Dashie were up to know good, and it landed them in the big house. This is an edited vector that I mostly did out of sheer boredom.

It’s true that Lightning Dust did wrong. She had the wrong motivation, she was reckless and she failed to recognize her faults. And yes, in RL she would not just pushed out, she would be send to jail. We call this Cafe Viereck in the Bundeswehr.
But… In RL civilians would never be able to approach a military base/training field like this. Twilight & Co. brought this harm to themself. Plot device stupidity. End of story. People can blame Lightning Dust as much as they want. The true culprit in this story is Spitfire for failing to be a capable commandant. Again, she is like that because the plot demands it.
I see it like genervt. Lightning Dust should get a chance for redemption. She is the best flyer in Equestria and deserves a second chance as Rainbows Wing Pony. Because Friendship is Magic.
And now I go and rewatch O’Brother, Where Art Thou? Because I like this Topic artwork. :-D

Dashie was not involved in the tornado incident.
Twily and her friends did not enter a restricted area in a balloon during training.
Spitfire did not encourage Dusty all the time instead of training and guiding her (aka doing her job).
Dusty is the scapegoat of this episode.

I think you’ll find the one who came up with the idea (Lightning Dust), was in leadership position (Lightning Dust) and had every intention of carrying it out (Lightning Dust), was to blame.

Lol. You seem to be completely forgetting what happened in Wonderbolt Academy, considering Lightning Dust almost got RD’s friends killed… I mean do you really consider bickering worse than creating a twister and nearly throwing a bunch of ponies to their deaths?
