Seeing as the Sisters are over 1,000 years old, I think it’s practically the same thing in this case.
While alicorns have immortality, I think dragons have longevity.
That would make shipping Spike with Ember more creepy than him with Rarity. Plus, what makes you sure that she isn’t 20, and didn’t slow down like Flurry here? This is just a lazy way to make a “softcore shota-harem.”
and did we see how long it took for her to age? I don’t remember seeing that; how do you know she isn’t hundreds of years old?
Than Spike would do the same, or are we breaking the rules because shota, especially since Ember is a grown adult in the series.

And Flurry is an alicorn, a race that would age at the same rate (if not slower, seeing as Celestia and Luna are over a thousand).
I think it’s more that Spike is part dragon, thus ages REALLY slowly
