You got through your surprise unscheduled ‘sponge bath’ and, in spite of a lengthy “treatment” that seemed mostly for the benefit of the doctors and nurses you actually did feel a lot better. You were good to go first thing tomorrow morning.
 
Your door opened and one of the nurses climbed onto your bed. You had seen her running around the hallways a few times, and every time you saw her you found yourself wondering how such a young filly was working here. She stared at you, looking so tired she seemed ready to collapse, and asked “Are you contagious?”
 
As soon as you answered “No” she flopped down on your lap, mumbled something incomprehensible, and almost immediately fell asleep. ‘Poor thing,’ you thought; they must have been working her pretty hard and she finally needed a place to hide and get some sleep. You didn’t mind her sleeping there; as strange as the staff here was they had worked pretty hard to whip you back into health. Letting one of them catch forty winks on your lap was the least you could do.
