Indeed
Shhh. Don’t ruin the joke.
I don’t even know why I’m subscribed to it…
Diluted hydrochloric acid, very important distinction there
>suggested treatment to remove its hairs is applying hydrochloric acid to your skin
>scientists are looking to synthesise the active ingredient for inclusion in chemotherapy treatments
Jesus Christ. Talk about kicking a man while he’s down.
If you’re actually pissed about someone using a different set of vernacular than the one that you personally subscribe to as being correct and proper, then maybe that should be a cue for you to take a step back from the conversation and take a chill pill my dude.
Feel free to disagree, but I personally think that this isn’t something to get that upset about.
fine, i guess

I climbed a dresser as a toddler. I was rather surprised when it fell on me, despite being told it would. It takes a lot to surprise me.
The only way to make stepping on a Lego brick worse is when you pick it up and discover it’s actually a Mega Bloks brick. Nothing like being stabbed by the cheap substitute to make agony feel hollow.
The company just wants to save their trademark from being taken away. Everyone calls them legos. An individual brick is a lego. Nobody cares what the company wants people to call them, just like nobody cares what the velcro people have to say. Language evolves, deal with it.
who cares how common it is if it’s incocrect, same with how common it is for Americans to write kilo with an uppcase k, it still is incorrect
@Zaknel
The English language is a fucking wreck. the “W” is another good example for that

your current filter. What some dutch lawyers say to attempt to avoid genericide means nothing for the english language, common use does.
on the offical LEGO site it says
“Proper Use of the LEGO Trademark on a Web Site
If the LEGO trademark is used at all, it should always be used as an adjective, not as a noun. For example, say “MODELS BUILT OF LEGO BRICKS”. Never say “MODELS BUILT OF LEGOs”.”
Dude, I step on wire all of the time. But, I have never stepped on Legos.

no, calling them “Legos” is even worse, it’s an adjective not an object.
