Except that’s not how the amulet works. It’s more like a guy who is shooting blanks at a person feet to scare off a person he doesn’t like, has his mind altered into shooting actual bullets at the person. Though that’s still to much, it’s more like a guy changing his whoopee cushion prank into a land mine trap.
 
And the fact that Trixie was actually remorseful for what she did.
 
Oh and your argument is self contradicting. You say that the corruption is giving the person the power to act out their wants, then you say that if you were given the power to act out your wants it’s not really corruption, despite saying that’s how it corrupts you, see a contradiction?

Her plan was likely to just show up Twilight. Attacking her friends and banishing her were part of the corruption; Twilight outright says that those things weren’t like her, and Twilight knows what she’s talking about.

I think she wanted revenge from a beginning, worked on the rock farm to gain money, then she bought the Amulet and decided to use it for her revenge. She never expected to become more evil.

Say I want to kill a guy. I don’t have a weapon, so even though I want to, I choose not to out of inconvenience. If someone gives me a gun, did the gun “corrupt” me?

I was under the assumption that she disliked Twilight for showing her up but only came to show Twilight up. For all we know maybe she just bought the Amulet for her act and the corruption fed off her anger.
 
Remember Twilight’s line. There was something different about her it is like she’s gone from high and mighty to mean and nasty.
 
She was there right after Trixie arrived and left a few minutes later.
 
Good bet the Amulet already corrupted her.

In truth the amulet was placed there by Clavicus Vile. He granted Trixie’s wish to overcome Twilight, but not in the way she wanted.

Seems plausible.
 
But as Random said, we don’t know how fast it works.

Depends on how quickly he amulet corrupts the wearer.
