Btw I love how the hide button is so ineffective, since content that are artistically acceptable but of sensitive content (like some NSFW fetishes) are still downvoted.

Upvoting and downvoting is just so non-artist can feel like they’re contributing.

I don’t really remember what I’ve ever used a downvote on, or how high I must have been to find such a thing necessary, I usually just slap stars on my favorite stuff so it shows up in my favorites.

@EpicLPer
Right, because people never downvote because they don’t like a particular character, pairing, or cannon.

Yep. Internet denizens are always wholly neutral and only downvote lousy art that needs serious work.

To be fair, there is merit in some of that statement; if you’re getting an overwhelming downvote brigade and have comments giving genuine criticism, absolutely one should use it as a teaching method to improve. But a few downvotes? No. Continue drawing what one wants, the ones that genuinely hate it will just put your butt on ignore and one can move on and continue improving.

I mean… no?

Downvotes are going to happen regardless, trying to evoke a pity party because other people have different tastes is kind of the height of narcissism.

Sorry if you’re feeling picked on, but this is the wrong way to go about it.

Best of luck, I hope you keep creating anyway.
