How so?  
Spike was hatched on the same day Twilight & Applejack got their butt marks, and the recent flashback (>>2055641) shows Bloom was around before AJ’s mark.

Her reaction is not meant to be literal, for children one year is a big border, for teenager it often becomes insurmountable before as adults even 5 years differences seem not that big of a deal.
