I also loved her friendship with Rainbow (another reason Dusty should be a Wonderbolt) and would like to see them working together on a Wonderbolt rescue mission.

The royal guard and the Wonderbolts could call themselve lucky to have a talented flier like Lightning.
The problem is that Dusty wouldn´t be able to fly much in the royal guard, so I don´t think she would like it.
Pretty much anypony is better than Spitfire.
