Short Description:  
She was out with her Mother (Rarity) and her Aunt Maud trying to discover some beautiful gems and crystals for a very important client of her mothers. As they were looking they came across a small cave filled with luminescent purple gemstones.  
Melody felt a little off about them, as if they were calling to her. She wasn’t paying attention when she crashed horn first into one of these massive geodes, as her horn collided she heard a beautiful note ring in her ears. She couldn’t believe it until she touched her hoof to another one, resulting in another sweet note. She continued playing these gems until she had a beautiful song she wanted to show to everyone. As she arrived back to ponyville she created a small stage and began playing for ponies one and all, not even noticing she had obtained her cutie mark in the process.
 
Her story is my favorite tbh, also her hair has changed a few times during her design process. I swear ill redo it someday….
