Lacking wings always made as much sense as him getting them, though.
"There was no reason" isn't a fair argument because wanting to show that he is, slowly but surely, physically developing, is reason enough for that. They didn't HAVE to make it about anything more, they can show emotional development in many other ways that don't necesarily have to involve a slight physical one.

ALL his adult forms (2), were not achieved naturally. And in one of them we didn't even see his whole body, just his neck and head. I'm not saying that his grown form in secret of my excess isn't an argument at all, just that it was never the "decisive" evidence you're pretending it is, because he looked completely different from the 1st time, and was also regressing into a wild beast too. So there was no way to be sure that one was his true naturally-grown self.

They're not the same Spike, so they were never more than a "maybe he'll be like those, who knows".

See, that's the problem. You're necesarily thinking this growth has be about character development, when that doesn't have to be the case. He's growing up. That's all. I haven't seen the episode yet but from what I heard from the summary[spo||iler]it seems he's worried about young dragons being kicked out of their homes when this growth starts[/spoiler]||, so if there's character development maybe its there instead, I don't know. The point is you seemed to always assume whenever they would show any physical growth for him it would be tinvolved to deep character development, and thus are dissapointed that its not the case.
I can understand that, but that has nothing to do with it being a "lousy, cheep, poorly thought out manner of "maturing’" because a kid going through a growth spurt never automatically translated to him "maturing" emotionally. You just assumed they would do that. Why does him maturing emotionally HAD to be tied to the same episode? Are the wings supposed to affect his brain too?

> I also argued, due to seeing so many pictures of it, that the main reason anyone WANTED Spike to have wings was because 99% of the depictions SUDDENLY had him on all fours and looking like a certain purple and green video game character and that people were starved for Spyro to live on in something that wasn’t the abomination known as skylanders, but were using Spike as a vehicle to do it.

You accused people of only wanting SPike to grow wings because they wanted a Spyro replacement.
That was always an unfounded accusation based on wanting to downplay their prefference and make your more valid.
There's also tons of pics of grown wingless Spike where he's going in all fours. Because he did walk like that when he grew. Because bigger dragons in both this show and almost everywhere else are depicted walking this way. Yet you chose to assume it was always because Spyro, and wouldn't hear anything of the contrary.
So I don't think its fair for you to pain yourself as a victim, when it was always you who chose to go into winged Spike pictures to basically pick arguments with those who simply had different tastes from yours.
Also, how the hell does a pic Spyro remaster logo with Spike's name isntead "reaffirms" what they denied?
Its obvious people have noticed the similarities between those characters through the years, so its obvious whenever new material about Spyro comes out, there's gonna be refferences. That doesn't mean people who wanted winged Spike did because Spyro. There were also many Spike-Godzilla refferences when that movie came out. By your logic anyone who made a refference between the two wanted Spike to become Godzilla's clone.
