I asked Andrea Libman about that at the 2019 Brony Con. She still recorded her lines for The Missing Links of Moorshire from Vancouver while everyone else was in the United States. The casting director of DuckTales, who was not based in Vancouver, still knew who she was. She also said that it reminded her of the Gravity Falls episode The Golf War (which had Quibble Pants’s actor voice Franz) after I mentioned that other golf episode to her. Now I am glad I am not the only one in this world who noticed that similarity! Stranger Than Fan Fiction was made after The Golf War, so this might just be an amazing coincidence. Or it isn’t if the writer from DuckTales was concurrently watching those two episodes at the right times.

I thought the theme-song specifically stated “Not Pony Tales, or Cottontails?”

It looks like the Ducktales ponies are modeled after Shetlands while MLP are modeled after Falabellas.

I saw the episode of ducktales, and tara strong? Sure. But Andrea Libman seemed like the least likelyst to voice on an all american cast cartoon.
