Hello, I’m the artist that made this piece and I have read all your comments regarding this piece. Though I don’t mind people having their own headcanons for characters in MLP, you don’t have to be rude about it. Though one of the commenters pointed out the face problems and whatever “Tumblrina” mouth is, it’s called an art style. My art isn’t suppose to be realistic, I’m a cartoonist. I exaggerate mouthes and noses and eyes and faces to my liking NOT BECAUSE IM STEREOTYPING but it’s just how I like it. I will say your criticism is accurate though, I’ll keep that in mind when I do realism. As for those who downvoted because she’s thick or not white, I have no respect for you. Take care.

You don’t get to decide what people use downvote button for. Yes, the admins have described their intended use of the downvote button, but the users have and will do what they want with the mechanics provided. It’s silly to base your argument on the user-base following all of the intended uses of the downvote button except the one you’ve picked out for them. You’re trying super duper hard to justify your passive-aggressively calling everyone who disagrees with you a bigot.
 
I could concede that some users have downvoted with such malicious intent, but to say there’s no other reason to downvote the image but bigotry is disingenuous at best. The image has flaws, and while I will settle for not upvoting it, I understand why some would downvote it without the intention you very much wish to assign them. I don’t think there’s much else to say about the artwork itself without rehashing points about the head or going into detail about the hand, at least not that is relevant to my side of this conversation, so if you’re really insistent on replying, just shoot me a message. Can’t promise I’ll reply, though.

would people really downvote for things that are stupidly tiny in regards to the image? the way this artist drew celestia is absolutely stunning; even i, as an artist, can agree with that. their art may not be the best, but its definetly something.  
and theres really no definition for ‘tumblrinamouth’; i myself am a tumblr user and the amount of people with different art styles is pretty big. but then again, nobody seems to care as long as they only look at the bad side of the website.  
and even if people really did downvote because of the flaws in the picture, waow, they sure as hell do have some refined tastes. and seriously, its not even something to downvote about. things that you should downvote is stuff thats meant to actually be offensive or just plain disturbing/generally rule-breaking. this has nothing of that sort.  
so no, theres really no reason to downvote other than uwu wheres the sexy white!!.

Yes, please, continue dictating to the people who downvoted an image on the internet why they downvoted an image on the internet. I’m sure the intent you’ve retroactively given them fits your narrative better than what they thought at the time.
 
Personally, I didn’t downvote this image, but I didn’t upvote it either, and I’m aware people are harsher critics than I am. It’s literally Celestia’s face. Her hand is off as well and her earings are pinned into the middles of her ears, but it’s primarily her face. Not only does she have no forehead, but her mouth about as wide as her nose is tall, and half as tall itself. Her chin is non-existent because her nose pushes her mouth into where it should be. Her facial proportions are aight until you get to the top and bottom halfs. This is exactly “tumblrinamouth”. So if you’d stop assuming intent, you can quit making an ass of ‘u’ and ‘ming’.

I would have thought Celestia would be more statuesque

I’d say it’s a black stereotype with oversized mouth, but since artist draws all their humans like that it’s tumblrinamouth instead.
