You can tell this was made just after the season 5 finale, because the very next episode Crystalling showed that Starlight saw Sunburst as a guide. A person who loved to study and read who would always have the answer and always know exactly what to do when she needed help. A person who knew everything there was to know about magic.
 
Exactly he wasn’t just her friend and vice versa. They brought out the best in each other; I imagine Starburst just didn’t realize how important Starlight was to his development compared to Starlight.

Equality - In our state, we're all equal here!

We’ve been over this, breaking Starlight’s backstory down to an absurd simplification, and then attacking that simplified version is straw-manning. If you actually want to have your criticisms taken seriously, you have to prove you take them seriously yourself.
