Fluttershy smiled and looked at her old friend. “Oh Rarity, I’m so glad you and Opal could join us today%” She walked over to the spa’s largest hot bath and watched as her own daughter climbed the stairs to the tub.
 
Rarity giggled and nodded as she was already soaking, her mane pinned up, and hooves draped over the side. The mares conversed quietly while their daughters played. “I’m actually quite glad you asked us to join you, Fluttershy. It’s been a little dull at home…” She sighed and rested her head on the edge of the bath. “Fancy Pants hasn’t exactly been home much and when he is…well…you know…” She closed her eyes trying to relax.
 
Fluttershy nodded with a soft smile turning into a frown. “I’m so sorry Rarity…Do you think…things will work out between you two?” She asked, tilting her head to the side a bit, mane falling to the side while also pinned up.
 
The unicorn mare slowly shook her head, though her eyebrows were furrowed, she still didn’t seem to lose her smile possibly for her daughter. “Fluttershy, he’s been gone for a very long time…” She let out a weak sigh and slowly looking up at her friend. However their attention was soon drawn away as there was a loud splash, water going everywhere in the tub and even out of the tub a little bit. Rarity looked over and saw her filly jumped in with her hooves out and laughing. Rarity smiled lovingly as her daughter could only smile and watch.
 
“Momma! You didn’t tell me we were goin’ to a big pool!” Opal giggled and hugged the edge of the tub, since her hooves couldn’t touch the bottom just yet.
 
Rarity giggled and smiled. “No, my luv% It’s more like a bath.” She smirked, knowing her little Opal didn’t enjoy baths. Her daughter paused and stared up at her. “That’s right my little jewel~ You’re taking a bath.”
 
The filly hugged the side and began to pout seemingly annoyed, ears laid back and huffed. “You tricked me…” She grumbled and looked down at the edge.
 
Fluttershy smiled happily and looked over at the filly her and her husband had recently adopted. “Are you alright, Flora?” She asked, watching the taller filly sitting on the stairs by the tub,a s if she didn’t want to get in. The unicorn filly looked up to the pegasus and gave a nervous smile. “I-I don’t know how to swim.” She squeaked softly. Fluttershy’s smile only grew as she walked over and nodded, nuzzling the filly’s forehead. “Why don’t I give you a hoof, okay?”
 
Though Flora Ivy had been adopted a few months before, she acted very much like Fluttershy did at that age: shy, reclusive, and nervous. It was almost uncanny how much the two were alike~

This takes place just before Rarity’s divorce with Fancy Pants. Fluttershy and Rarity still found time every once and awhile to spend time together at the spa, and even included their daughters when the time came for it. Though Opal was a little impulsive and didn’t quite understand the spa just yet, she did like spending time with her mother - some good memories before her parents separation.
 
No shading…lazy drawing. I started it about two months ago. Never had the urge to want to finish but I forced myself today >w< I’ve been trying to force myself to finish a couple older drawings of the nextgen mane six’s past and childhood.
