I already have a small Space Marine army, consisting of 10 Tactical Marines, 5 Scouts, and 5 Primaris Hellblasters, but I also want something for them to fight… I’m a Tzeentch fan, so my first thought was Chaos, but I wanted something more unique than Marines or Daemons, so after looking at the Necromunda Gangs and Genestealer Cults I immediately wanted to make a Cultist army… The only problem is where I live: San Miguel de Allende - Mexico, over a hundred miles from a single hobby store, let alone an official GW store.
I bought my marines while I was on vacation in Texas for last Christmas, and this summer when I return I’ll begin work on my cultist army, but until then I have three or four months to think about what I want to do. I know the first thing I’ll do is calculate the price of PVC and weigh the models so I can figure out how much a model would actually cost and use that knowledge to make fun of GW’s prices.
Luckily, it has a shit ton of recoil compensation mechanizims in it. But I agree, it’s not the best tank. But, like the Sherman, it is easy to manufacture in large numbers. A chaos cultist army sounds sweet. I have a versatile ig army of custom design, using conversion parts from anvil industries to make it look like the 1980s NATO in space.
One of these days I want to make a pure chaos cultist army, which no daemons nor marines, just the chaos cultists. I’m planning on using parts from the Genestealer Cults and Necromunda Gangs for the cultists themselves, with a few heavy weapons borrowed from the Imperial Guard… But Armored support is the hard part… I can either use the Truck from the Genestealer Cults (which I think looks better) or the Leman Russ (Which I’m fairly sure has better stats) Either way I’m in agreement, the Leman Russ looks cool, but It’s far from the best Imperial Guard tank, it looks too top-heavy, like it could be flipped way to easily, and the turret looks too big for the chassis, plus… the cannon’s recoil wouldn’t help on the whole flipping thing.
The leman Russ tanks is pretty cool….. If it’s engine wasn’t exposed (except for the Mars made ones, that actually have much better armor)
Well… It’s no MKIV
I wish we still had sponson turrets on our tanks.
