Pinkie Pie changes to Pinkamena, just as Yuri goes mentally unstable in the second act.
That just means she has a problem and needs some help - all the girls in the game do. She only becomes “crazy” after Monika messes with her personality. I’m tired of people saying she’s an unhinged lunatic through the entire game.

Incorrect, act 1 Yuri has more control over her condition; however, she [semi-grimdark]still cuts herself and still has an obsession with knives, blood, and dark themes.
